The sequels after have just been repeating the RES4 formula over and over until a true genre defining game changer drops.
The gunplay feels terrible, level designs are extremely linear, short, and boring. And the new enemies with guns are annoying and bad to fight. Also the story tries to be very serious with the ridiculous action Sequences next to it. It just didn't feel like a Resident Evil game.

Resident Evil 6 is great, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It has a great combat system, Mercenaries No Mercy is so fucking fun, and is currently the most content dense Resident Evil game to date. The only people who would say it's bad are either purists or those who prefer the Survival Horror side of RE.
Yeah, her default costume has the hydra in mercs. Anyways, the hydra has two advantages: fast rate of fire and quick shots. You can shoot very fast with the hydra, but that doesn't initially seem that great since you have to deal with a long reload animation after three shots, plus you don't want to waste ammo.

Sorry but ı still dont understand how many people have problem with this game. This is better designed than other re games. The mechanics work well in campaigns too, especially compared to re4 and re5 which feel more designed around mercenaries rather than campaigns.
